Samsung has made a lot about its ongoing attempts to focus more on the tablet market, and it looks like the company could be making some headway in that regard. According to Chitika, web usage on Samsung's tablets in the US doubled in the one-year period since April 2013, rising from 4.7 percent to 8.3 percent. Compared to Apple, which holds 77.2 perncet of tablet web usage with its iPads, that figure is quite puny, but it's still a major jump compared to the others. Chitika attributes the rise to the launch of new Samsung tablets in the last quarter, and with devices like the Galaxy Tab4 and Galaxy NotePRO for AT&T arriving in the coming months, the usage share should continue to climb steadily.
Abhijeet's writing career started with guides for custom firmware for Samsung devices (including the original Galaxy S), and he moved to SamMobile in mid-2013 and worked up the ranks to Editor-in-chief. In addition to phones and mobile devices, his interests include gaming on both PC and console, PC hardware, and spending countless hours on YouTube watching videos on tech, movies, games, politics, and internet dramas.
