Galaxy S4 Google Play edition gets Android 4.4 KitKat

The Android 4.4 KitKat kernel source release from yesterday is now followed by a software update. Google has confirmed that they’ve started rolling out the latest Android update for Samsung’s Galaxy S4 Google Play edition phone. The OTA should arrive in the next few hours, if you haven’t already received the notification.

The new Android version will offer improvements in performance as well as multitasking, voice search, built-in infrared port support.
