Samsung's first smartphone to feature a flexible display, the Galaxy Round hasn't exactly impressed anyone since it was officially announced, but it sure has people interested in finding out what advantages its curved screen brings to the table. Well, that's something that's still a mystery, but while we wait for that mystery to be solved, there's a nice little unboxing video of the Galaxy Round that is now available online.

Done by the folks over at UNDERkg, the unboxing video shows off the contents of the box and gives a quick look at the hardware. What's interesting is the battery of the device – a curved design meant many other components probably had to be redesigned, and in case of the battery, Samsung has gone ahead and made it rather long and thin to fit the Galaxy Round, which is what helped them put one in without curving the battery itself. It might even be longer than the iPhone 5s, or at least as long as Apple's flagship, and you get two batteries out of the box, which might make the high $1000+ asking price just a tad easier to bear.

Go ahead and take a look at the unboxing video below, and let us know what you think!

Galaxy Round unofficially available in the US and Australia

The Galaxy Round is currently available only in South Korea, as Samsung wanted to test the market response to a smartphone with a curved display before launching it worldwide.
