There has been a lot of chatter around flexible display in the past few days and it seems Samsung Display has started mass producing the said display panels. According to OLED-Info, Samsung is now mass producing its 5.7-inch flexible OLED panel that will be supplied to Samsung Electronics for the rumored Galaxy Round smartphone.

Samsung's confirmation apparently came after LG's announcement of commencement of mass production of its flexible OLED panels. Samsung's 5.7-inch flexible OLED panel will offer full HD resolution and will be curved on the sides with a radius of 400mm compared to LG's 6-inch panel with top to bottom curve of 700mm.

Samsung's panel is just 0.12mm thin and 5.2g in weight compared to LG's 0.44mm and 7.2g.
