Review

Samsung revitalized the Edge name with the launch of the Galaxy Book 4 Edge laptop and the Galaxy S25 Edge smartphone. Likewise, it doubled down on spreading the Ultra brand across its product lineup over the past few years, and now, we even have an Ultra-branded vacuum cleaner.

In Samsung's book, Edge means thin, and Ultra means the best of the best. Ultra is synonymous with great power, and in 2025, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra became the first Samsung vacuum cleaner to bear the prestigious name. Fittingly so.

At launch, the Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra was the world's most powerful vacuum cleaner in its class, i.e., the cordless stick segment. It still holds that title at the time of writing this review, and it is possible that only another Samsung vacuum will eventually outclass it.

Speaking of this review — which is SamMobile's first for a vacuum cleaner — we're excited to finally share our real-world experience with the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra after using it for over a month.

One of the main questions we wanted to answer is whether or not there's anything else to this vacuum besides its award-winning suction power. Spoiler alert! Yes, there is. The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is essentially a smart home device, and many of its features — smart or not — are surprisingly good.

Design

I would like to start this review with the basics. I had never used a cordless stick vacuum or a Bespoke Jet from Samsung before I got the Ultra. So if you are in the same boat, here are some things you may want to know.

Excluding attachments and brushes, the vacuum consists of two primary components. The first is the cordless stick vacuum itself, and the second is the corded All-in-One Clean Station. The latter is crucial to the experience and just as important as the vacuum.

samsung-bespoke-jet-review-5

The stick vacuum itself is entirely cordless and powered by a user-removable battery. It doesn't have a wall socket connection of its own. The Clean Station is the only part that needs to be plugged into a wall socket. It acts both as a charger for the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra stick vacuum and as a wireless bridge that connects the vacuum with the SmartThings platform/mobile app.

Without the Clean Station, there are no SmartThings smart home features.

When the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra rests on the Clean Station, the two connect through metal pins — the same pins through which the Clean Station recharges the vacuum's user-removable battery. The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra fits effortlessly on the Clean Station and doesn't need a manual locking mechanism or wire attachments. It just clicks into place.

Likewise, when you're ready to vacuum, you can lift the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra off the Clean Station with ease and press the power button embedded in the handle to turn it on.

samsung-bespoke-jet-review-11

No wires will ever get in the way of vacuuming, which is very convenient. I never thought the wireless vacuum design could be this liberating, but it is. After using the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, I don't think I could easily go back to a wired vacuum cleaner.

Samsung carefully designed the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra to become a part of your living space.

One other thing you should know is that the Clean Station is, well, stationary. No pun intended. You're supposed to find it a permanent spot in your living space rather than tucking it away in a closet and pulling it out whenever you need to vacuum your floors.

Owing to this, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra will become part of your furniture, so to speak. Thankfully, it looks the part. Samsung designed the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra to blend with almost any interior. The package has a modern design and a neat satin finish in black or mint. Color availability differs by market.

The Clean Station is quite heavy, which is useful for stability. But the stick vacuum itself is relatively lightweight and very easy to use thanks to its cordless design and balanced weight distribution. The removable battery also helps distribute the weight better.

Initially, I feared that maintaining the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra would be difficult. It's the exact opposite.

Upon unboxing it, my initial impression was that the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra might be a bit too complicated for a basic home appliance. Especially because I bought it in a market where Samsung offers extra accessories in the box. More on that later.

Thankfully, it's the opposite and not complicated at all. If you worry about maintenance, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is a breeze. Apart from when you may want to wash the vacuum's dustbin and filters, you never have to worry about taking it apart.

Furthermore, the vacuum has a 100% reusable 0.5 L transparent dustbin that automatically unloads its contents into the Clean Station's 2.0 L dust bag after each vacuuming session (assuming the session was longer than one minute).

The Clean Station's dust bag is also reusable, but only to a point. After enough reuses, you may want to replace it to avoid unpleasant odors being released whenever you unload the dustbin into the dust bag.

Thankfully, removing and replacing the dust bag isn't a science project either. You can find it behind a hidden door that locks and unlocks through a push button. The door is behind a magnetic cover that conveniently snaps into place. You'll also find an Auto Empty button and two LED status lights behind the magnetic cover.

As for build quality, most of the components are made from ABS, i.e., thermoplastic polymer. If you are used to the premium materials Samsung applies to other categories of devices, such as high-end smartphones and tablets, you won't be blown away by the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra. After all, it is a vacuum cleaner.

Nevertheless, every vacuum brush and accessory fits snugly and snaps into place with a satisfying click. Even though the vacuum is mostly plastic, the quality is decent and components don't creak. The upper part of the vacuum's handle has a mildly rubbery finish for a bit of extra comfort.

As for the LCD embedded in the handle, it's most welcome and serves its function(s). It's easy to read, and the adjacent power and plus/minus buttons are also easy to reach with your thumb. The LCD can provide information such as:

  • Remaining run time.
  • Battery charging status.
  • Diagnostic progress.
  • Maintenance guides.
  • Alerts regarding foreign objects that might get stuck and prevent airflow.
  • Language settings.
  • Mode selection.
  • A quick notification to let you know whenever the AI is actively optimizing suction power for the environment.
  • Energy Saving Mode (when the vacuum rests on the Clean Station)
  • Call and message alerts — if enabled through the mobile SmartThings app.

Performance

At its core, a vacuum cleaner's usefulness boils down to suction power. Design, build quality, AI, and other extra features matter, but if the vacuum cleaner can't suck dirt off the floor, those other elements don't count for much. Thankfully, performance is one area in which the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra shines.

Even though I knew it was the most powerful vacuum in its class, as per Samsung's claims, I didn't expect the Jet Ultra to do a significantly better job than my old canister vacuum. I thought I'd trade off some suction power for wireless convenience and a lighter design. Color me surprised when I realized the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is both powerful and lightweight.

It didn't take long for me to realize that Samsung's Ultra vacuum cleans floors way better than any vacuum I used before. Not only does it have plenty of suction power, but the clever design of its accessories makes difficult spots easy to reach. The motorized brushes are also very effective.

Samsung's HexaJet motor spins so fast, it almost feels like it can create its own gravity field.

The Bespoke Jet AI Ultra is powered by a 1,050 W HexaJet motor. Don't let that number fool you. Watts and air watts are two different measurements, and most vacuum manufacturers advertise watts (W) rather than air watts (AW).

Here's the secret. Air watts (true suction power) matter most for a vacuum cleaner. And at 400 AW, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra beats even other vacuums outside its cordless stick class.

For reference, most canister-type vacuum cleaner brands advertise motor power of around 1,000-2,000 W, but their effective suction power (AW) usually averages around 200-250 AW — significantly less than the Ultra's 400 AW.

samsung-bespoke-jet-review-17

Another characteristic that impressed me was the HexaJet motor's rotation potential. This Samsung motor can reach a mind-boggling 148,000 rotations per minute. And despite this speed, it still sounds quieter than other vacuums I've used.

Of course, you won't spin the HexaJet motor at 148,000 RPM all the time. In fact, you will probably never reach that impressive figure if you use the AI Cleaning 2.0 mode.

Battery Life

The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra has a 100-minute battery, as per Samsung's advertisement. More accurately, Samsung determined the 100-minute runtime using the vacuum's minimum power level and a non-motorized brush.

I received a second battery with my Bespoke AI Jet Ultra, but for me, it's overkill. I never had to use it.

In my experience, I never ran out of battery while cleaning my apartment, whether using the AI cleaning mode or the maximum Jet mode — with an LED motorized brush attached. Nevertheless, run time can vary drastically based on countless factors.

The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra has five power settings. For reference, this is how my Bespoke AI Jet Ultra usually calculates runtime on a full 100-minute battery at different power levels — with the motorized and LED-enabled Active Dual Brush equipped:

  • Min: 58 minutes.
  • AI: 62 minutes.
  • Mid: 40 minutes.
  • Max: 19 minutes.
  • Jet: 14 minutes.
bespoke jet 8

In some markets, including Europe, Samsung ships the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra with two batteries. You get a second 60-minute battery paired with a wall charger, in addition to the standard 100-minute unit. I never needed to swap the 100-minute battery with the secondary one. Your experience might vary depending on the types of floors you're vacuuming and the number of rooms you have.

Accessories

Before we dive deeper into the usefulness and quality of the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra accessories, I want to address Samsung's odd decision to offer different accessories in different markets.

Indeed, depending on where you buy the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra vacuum, the contents of the box will differ. You will receive the following items regardless of your market:

  • The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra vacuum.
  • The All-in-One Clean Station.
  • A 100-minute battery.
  • The new LED-enabled Active Dual Brush (motorized).
  • The Anti-Tangle Pet Tool+ (motorized).
  • The Combination Tool.
  • The Extension Crevice Tool (a.k.a. Long Reach Crevice Tool).
  • Three dust bags for the Clean Station.

However, in most regions, including Europe and the UK, you also receive the following extra accessories:

  • The Slim LED Brush+ (also motorized and equipped with an LED front-facing light)
  • The Flex Tool.
  • Another 60-minute battery.
  • A battery charging kit you can plug into a wall socket.
  • An Accessory Cradle to hold the extra accessories.

I ordered the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra from Europe and received the complete package, so keep that in mind if you decide to buy the vacuum. Make sure you check which accessories Samsung includes with the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra in your region.

Here's what the full package looks like.

samsung-bespoke-jet-review-10

As for the accessories themselves, thankfully, they're just as well-built and designed as the vacuum itself. They perform as expected, but I did find the new standard Active Dual Brush both amazing and a little flawed.

On the one hand, the standard Active Dual Brush is versatile, well designed, and efficient. It has a motorized roller that assists with picking up dirt and a front-facing LED light that is surprisingly useful. The LED quickly became one of my favorite features.

bespoke jet 3

On the other hand, I found the Active Dual Brush to be a poor choice for long-pile rugs. It works great for every other floor type, but in my case, the motorized roller brush constantly got tangled in my long-pile rugs and made uncomfortable clutching sounds when using the AI Cleaning Mode or a more powerful mode.

I initially thought an LED vacuum brush was gimmicky, but I was wrong. It's practical and highlights the spots you may have missed.

The AI Cleaning Mode is supposed to differentiate between four floor types — long-pile carpet, short-pile carpet, hard floor, and floor mat — and adjust both suction power and brush speed accordingly. I didn't find it useful for rugs, but more on the AI Cleaning Mode in the next chapter.

Although slightly flawed, I prefer the Active Dual Brush over the Slim LED Brush+ for every floor type except long-pile rugs. Its brushed roller seems more effective than the Slim LED's sponge roller.

The Slim LED Brush+ does work better with long-pile rugs, so once again, it's a shame that Samsung hasn't included it in the retail box in every market. You may want to buy the Slim LED Brush+ separately if you intend to vacuum long-pile carpets or rugs.

Using the lowest power setting with the Active Dual Brush can also help with long-pile carpets.

The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is the first and only Samsung Jet vacuum that ships with an LED brush as standard.

Every other accessory works as intended and is very efficient. Plus, some accessories, such as the Active Dual Brush, the Slim LED Brush+, and the Pet Tool+ (all of which have motorized brushes), are smart enough to let you know how long they've been used over the past seven days.

This data is shown in the SmartThings mobile app. This is a neat little feature and could be useful if you have a business and want to monitor the activity of your cleaning staff.

All in all, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra accessories are great, but the Active Dual Brush with AI Cleaning Mode has some issues with long-pile carpets, and I find it odd that Samsung has split the experience in a way that customers in select markets get fewer accessories.

AI Cleaning Mode 2.0

In Samsung's eyes, one of the main selling points of the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is AI Cleaning Mode 2.0. The question is, does it work?

Well, kind of. It's a bit of a hit and miss feature. Most of the time, it gets the job done well enough. I use it as my default power level every time I vacuum, but I can't say I'm terribly impressed by its cleverness.

samsung-bespoke-jet-review-20

The AI mode doesn't seem all that aware. It's supposed to adjust suction power and the brush roller speed based on four floor types, but in my experience, the AI mode seems to switch between two levels regardless of which floor type I'm cleaning.

I have vacuumed floor tiles, hardwood, long-pile rugs, and short-pile rugs. The AI doesn't come across as terribly clever, but it is somewhat useful, and it is better than not having AI at all.

AI Cleaning Mode 2.0: It's better with than without it but it's not terribly impressive.

One thing I like about the AI mode is that it automatically lowers the suction power when you lift the vacuum brush off the floor for more than a second or so. Sometimes, it also increases the vacuum's suction power when vacuuming in tight corners, which is great.

Also worth noting is that the AI mode only works with select brushes, i.e., the Active Dual Brush and the Slim LED Brush+. And as we mentioned earlier, the Slim LED Brush+ is included only in some markets.

If you don't have one of the AI brushes attached to the vacuum, you need to manually select and switch between the Min, Mid, Max, and Jet suction power levels, none of which are AI-assisted.

In conclusion, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra does a fantastic job with or without the AI mode, and I do prefer vacuuming with the AI mode enabled, except when cleaning rugs. The AI mode has its uses. It is my preferred mode, but it feels underwhelming sometimes.

SmartThings integration

Apart from the AI component, the one other element that makes the Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra a smart home device is its integration with the SmartThings platform.

Setting up the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra in SmartThings is easy. You can scan a QR code with your phone's camera to initiate the process.

Although you can use the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra as a regular vacuum cleaner even without connecting it to your smart home network, you will miss out on numerous features if you don't.

Here is a list of everything Bespoke AI Jet Ultra users can do through the SmartThings mobile app.

  • Empty the vacuum's dustbin remotely.
  • Set the dustbin emptying duration (Short, Normal, or Long).
  • Set a default suction power (Min, AI, Mid, Max, or Jet).
  • Enable call and message alerts on the vacuum's LCD.
  • Choose whether to stop the vacuum automatically upon receiving calls and messages.
  • Turn the vacuum's display and battery status light on or off when the vacuum is on the Clean Station.
  • Check battery charge.
  • Check battery health status.
  • Access Device care: Device Status and Checks Required.
  • Check the Clean Station dust bag condition.
  • See how many times (and when) the vacuum dustbin has been emptied into the Clean Station dust bag.
  • See usage patterns over the past seven days. You can also see usage patterns for (almost) each vacuum brush individually.
  • Access the usage guide and device manual.
  • Check energy usage (Hourly, Daily, Weekly, and Monthly), including comparisons with the neighborhood average consumption.
  • Access a list of Bixby voice commands you can use for the Bespoke Jet AI Ultra in SmartThings.
  • Check device and software information.
  • Edit the list of services in SmartThings.
  • Edit or remove the vacuum from SmartThings.
  • Add a shortcut to your Bespoke vacuum to the phone's home screen.
  • Access notification settings and history.
  • Access Wi-Fi network settings.

As you can see, the list is quite expansive. Nevertheless, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra is a stick vacuum rather than a Jet Bot robot vacuum equipped with object recognition, LiDAR sensors, cameras, and speakers. So, unlike Samsung's robot vacuum, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra can't stream videos to your phone or play music to your pets while you're away. And without LiDAR, you can't use it to create a Map View of your home in SmartThings.

Nevertheless, the SmartThings app does add value to the user experience and makes the vacuum feel like a smart home device, even though it's not nearly as clever as the Jet Bot.

I'd love for Samsung to add a graph to SmartThings where we could check usage statistics of AI Cleaning Mode 2.0. It could be useful to see a breakdown of each AI vacuuming session, detailing when the AI mode was active, what floor types it detected, how it adjusted the vacuum's suction power and the brush's roller speed, and so on.

Although this feature doesn't exist yet, I suppose Samsung could develop and add it through a firmware update. A few weeks ago, Samsung released a firmware update hinting at an upcoming Air Blower accessory. In theory, the vacuum can improve through newer firmware updates, but only time will tell how far Samsung will lean into this.

Verdict

samsung-bespoke-jet-review-12

I had a very positive experience with the Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Ultra and can only conclude that it is a fantastic vacuum cleaner. It's not perfect, but nothing really is. It's very few shortcomings are greatly outweighed by the positives.

The Bespoke AI Jet Ultra should be a decent upgrade if you own a regular Samsung Jet Stick vacuum without a Clean Station and SmartThings integration. You can't go wrong with the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra if you want to replace your existing vacuum with something smarter, more powerful, and more versatile.

Should you throw away your existing non-smart Jet Stick and grab the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra instead? Probably not, as long as your vacuum still cleans floors adequately. But it is something to consider if you find a good deal or a trade-in offer and you wish to expand your SmartThings smart home network and enhance your home cleaning experience.

More importantly, if you've never used a stick vacuum before and are on the fence regarding the power and practicality of stick vacuum cleaners in general, the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra will eliminate all your doubts. This vacuum is miles better, smarter, and more practical than the classic canister-type vacuums you might be used to.
