You think the Galaxy S25 Edge's 5.8mm profile is impressive? Wait until you see this.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is gorgeous, and everyone, including Samsung, is fixated on the phone's slick profile and clever use of premium materials. Rightfully so. Apart from the Z Fold series, the Galaxy S25 Edge is Samsung's slimmest smartphone ever released, and its titanium frame is nigh impossible to ignore.
Needless to say, I can see why we're all starstruck by the 5.8mm profile. But now that we're a bit more familiar with the ultra-thin Samsung phone and its design, I'm noticing another astonishing achievement under the Galaxy S25 Edge's belt — an achievement that doesn't seem to get enough recognition.
If you haven't guessed already, I'm referring to the Galaxy S25 Edge's weight. Not only is this phone extremely thin, but its lightness is jaw-dropping.
Samsung's new Galaxy S25 Edge weighs only 163 grams. And if that doesn't sound impressive, you might be looking at the Edge out of context.
Remember that the Galaxy S25 Edge has a 6.7-inch display, just like the Galaxy S25+. And how much does the Galaxy S25+ weigh, you ask? 190 grams.
Let me give you a few other examples that should clarify just how unbelievably good the Galaxy S25 Edge's screen size-to-weight ratio really is:
The Galaxy S25 Edge is lighter than all of the phones above, except for the 6.2-inch Galaxy S25, which is only 1 gram lighter. For a 6.7-inch device, this truly is an achievement.
I, for one, am very impressed by these figures. And I can only advise anyone who appreciates lightweight phones but doesn't want a small display to take a closer look at the Galaxy S25 Edge. It's truly one of a kind.
If you're interested in buying this ultra-thin and ultra-light phone, pre-orders are now up in most markets, and early buyers get a free storage upgrade and other bonuses depending on the region.
