Despite its much better hardware, though, the Find N5 won't be a threat to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 or the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 because it isn't launching in most regions despite OPPO claiming it to be a “global launch.”
A few days ago, it was revealed that OPPO will not launch the Find N5 in the USA (and likely Canada). Now, OPPO revealed to YouTuber TheTechChap that the Find N5 won't be launched in Europe.
So, despite calling its recent press event the global launch of the Find N5, OPPO won't be launching the Find N5 in Europe, North America, and probably many other countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. So, this “global launch” now seems like just a marketing stunt to stay in the news cycle.
A couple of years ago, the OPPO Find N3 was rebranded as the OnePlus Open and launched in Europe and the USA. But that isn't happening this year, as OnePlus has made it abundantly clear that it won't launch a foldable phone this year.
So, no book-style foldable phone from OnePlus or OPPO is coming to rival the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7 in Europe and North America, which are critical for sales for high-end phones as these are the markets where many people buy high-end devices.
It would have been great if those brands had launched their foldable phones in Europe and the USA, as that would have forced Samsung to innovate faster and bring better-specced foldable phones. And that would have been better for consumers. Unfortunately, that isn't happening.

Samsung is expected to launch two book-style foldable phones this year: Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition (2025).
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to feature a 6.5-inch cover screen and an 8-inch inner foldable screen. It is expected to be thinner and lighter than the Galaxy Z Fold 6. It will also likely feature a 200MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP selfie camera.
The phone will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, at least 12GB RAM, and 256GB internal storage. It could feature a 4,400mAh (or bigger) battery and possibly 45W fast charging. It could run One UI 7 out of the box and get seven major Android OS updates.
