The free storage upgrade might be worth a trade-in. But think twice.

It's been a couple of weeks since the Galaxy S25 FE went on sale in most markets, and if you are a Galaxy S24 FE owner who missed the news, you have nothing to worry about. If you were considering an upgrade from your S24 FE to the newer model, I wouldn't recommend it. Here's what I mean.
Samsung's new Galaxy S25 FE may be a decent phone by itself, but I don't believe it is a worthwhile yearly upgrade for existing S24 FE users, unless you find a bargain and free storage upgrade. More on that later, but in short, the S25 FE probably isn't worth the price of upgrading.
For the most part, the Galaxy S25 FE is similar to the S24 FE. Maybe to a fault. It does bring a few changes and upgrades, but it is a marginal yearly refresh at best.
Here is a short list of some of the most notable upgrades the Galaxy S25 FE brings over the S24 FE.
Clearly, the Galaxy S25 FE is a marginally better phone. But what matters is how much it costs. In the USA, it debuted for $649, and if you use the trade-in program to exchange your Galaxy S24 FE for the newer model, you get a discount of up to $400 — depending on the condition of your S24 FE.
Is the Galaxy S25 FE worth your S24 FE and an extra $249? Not in my book. But if you are a big fan of the Fan Edition series and want the best of the best, you can technically get an upgrade for $249. Personally, I wouldn't bother upgrading to the Galaxy S25 FE unless I had an older-than-S24 FE variant.
One thing that could be worth it is that Samsung USA offers a free storage upgrade as of this writing. It's a limited-time deal, but you can grab the 256GB model for $649/$249
This extra bonus, combined with the other minor upgrades, could tip the scales in the S25 FE's favor, particularly if you can get the $400 trade-in discount and you're running out of storage on your 128GB Galaxy S24 FE.
