WhatsApp, the world's most popular instant messaging app, could soon bring a design improvement for incoming video or voice calls. This feature has been spotted for Android, so it will likely come to Galaxy (and other Android) smartphones and tablets soon.
A report from WABetaInfo reveals that an upcoming version of WhatsApp will bring design improvements for incoming calls on Android devices. Information found in WhatsApp's beta version 2.25.10.16 reveals that the app's new notification design will have three buttons: Answer, Decline, and Mute.
These buttons will appear in the notifcations panel. The Mute button will allow you to answer the incoming call while muting your microphone. It could be good for times when you just want to listen to the person on the other side of the call.
Another feature is for accepting video calls while disabling your phone's camera. It could be useful for when you are not quite ready to appear on the video. It also adds a layer of privacy while accepting video calls from unknown numbers.
The third new feature is emoji reaction for video calls. You can react with emojis in ongoing video calls, a good feature to express your reaction or mood based on things going on during the call. These features are already available for some users who have installed the latest beta version of WhatsApp and could be released to everyone in the coming months.
