The Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Privacy Display feature narrows the screen’s viewing angle to keep prying eyes from seeing what’s on the phone’s display. What many people don’t realize, however, is that they don’t have to tinker with the Quick Settings panel or go to Settings each time — or even touch the screen — to enable it. You can activate it instantly by simply double-pressing the side button.
That said, this shortcut isn’t enabled out of the box. You’ll need to set it up manually. To do so, go to Settings > Advanced features > Side button > Double press, and select Privacy Display. You can refer to the screenshots below.
Once configured, while using the Galaxy S26 Ultra, simply double-press the side button, and it will turn on Privacy Display. It’s the fastest and most convenient way to shield your screen from people around you and better protect your privacy.
It’s worth noting that Privacy Display offers several customization options. You can choose when it should activate and specify the type of content for which it should limit the viewing angle. You can read more about how Privacy Display works here.
