The mid-range smartphone segment has become very competitive and Samsung needs to up its game every year to retain its position against the onslaught of compelling options from Chinese manufacturers.
As you'll see in our full Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37 hands-on video below, the company has made significant strides this year.
The improvements it has made to the Galaxy A57 are particularly noteworthy. The Galaxy A57 is slimmer and lighter than its predecessor. This does make the device feel really good in the hand, which at this price point is a big plus.
No such improvements have been made to the Galaxy A37, though, beyond the usual cosmetic changes you expect with the new model every year. While both devices have a 6.7-inch display, the panel quality improvement really stands out. It's a significantly more bright display and the quality is right up there as well.
Samsung has introduced new chips as well which deliver a performance bump over the previous models which is instantly noticeable. There are some firsts here as well, the Galaxy A57 is the first to have Wi-Fi 6E support and now also the first in its lineup to offer 512GB internal storage.
There's a lot more that we cover in the video hands-on, including a look at One UI 8.5 on the new Galaxy A series, Galaxy AI features, and camera capabilities. Do check it out and also subscribe to our YouTube channel for more fun videos.
