For the first time in years, Samsung has rewarded patient Galaxy Watch users with a fresh design. The new Galaxy Watch 8 finally detached from its roots and employed a brand-new look and internal structure, which makes it one of the most exciting upgrades in years.
Samsung USA must know that many existing Galaxy Watch users have been waiting for this moment for a while now. The trade-in program offers fantastic deals for prospective Galaxy Watch 8 buyers. Check out the deals below.
The Galaxy Watch 8 is now available for pre-order in the USA and other markets. It starts at $349, but through the trade-in program, you can get the latest 40mm or 44mm Galaxy Watch 8 for only $149 or $179, respectively.
Below is a full breakdown of all the trade-in discounts Samsung USA has in store for customers who want to upgrade to the Galaxy Watch 8.
If you want to switch to the Galaxy Watch 8 from a different brand, Samsung offers trade-in discounts between $50 and $175 for Apple Watches and $50 off for Garmin watches.
Keep in mind that these trade-in offers may be available only for a limited time. Samsung USA does list lower trade-in discounts with a strikethrough next to these enhanced deals. As such, there is a high probability that these trade-in deals are available only throughout the pre-order period, which ends in a couple of weeks. If you have an older Samsung smartwatch and are looking for an upgrade, consider grabbing the Galaxy Watch 8 early.
As for the new smartwatch itself, Samsung's Galaxy Watch 8 is based on the Cushion Design language Samsung introduced with the Ultra model last year. It also has the Dynamic Lug system for swapping wrist straps with ease. It marks the first major redesign for the base model since the Galaxy Watch 4.
Not only does the Galaxy Watch 8 look unique, but these design changes made it more accurate than the Galaxy Watch 7, despite both having the same BioActive sensor.
Because of these design cues, the smartwatch offers a better fit on the wrist, which in turn improves the sensor's health and fitness tracking accuracy. Samsung also completely re-engineered the Galaxy Watch 8 on the inside, resulting in a thinner profile.
The new Galaxy Watch 8 also provides direct access to the latest One UI 8 Watch update and all of the latest fitness and health features, including Vascular Load, Antioxidant Index, Bedtime Guidance, Running Coach, and more.
