Samsung’s SmartThings is one of the best smart home platforms out there. However, the list of third-party products supporting it is very short. Well, a new device is getting added to it today.
TP-Link has launched the Tapo DL100 Smart Deadbolt Door Lock. It works with Samsung SmartThings, improving the South Korean tech giant’s ecosystem of smart home products.
For now, TP-Link has made the Tapo DL100 Smart Deadbolt Door Lock available only in the United States of America and priced it at $69.99 in the country. While it is very affordable, don’t let its price fool you. For the entry-level price, the product offers many features.
First, it has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Second, you can unlock it in five ways: Physical key, number pad, Tapo mobile app, and voice commands through Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Samsung SmartThings. Third, it supports PIN masking and one-time codes.
Fourth, the Tapo DL100 Smart Deadbolt Door Lock works with Tapo’s smart doorbell. Fifth, it is IP54 water and dust resistance. If you are planning to set up your home using SmartThings-compatible products, TP-Link’s latest door lock should be on your shortlist.
