The Galaxy Z TriFold is a rare device. Samsung reportedly loses money on every unit sold, but it’s using the phone as a launchpad for foldable display innovation.

This is a limited launch. The Galaxy Z TriFold is available in only seven brick-and-mortar Samsung stores across four US states: New York, Texas, California, and Minnesota.

For that price, you could buy a Galaxy S25 Ultra and a premium Galaxy tablet. However, those two devices together can’t match the Z TriFold experience.

This is the closest Samsung has come to creating the perfect phone-tablet hybrid. And from that perspective, the Galaxy Z TriFold is greater than the sum of its parts.
