Telegram app gets another massive feature update

One of the world's most popular messaging apps, Telegram, is getting a massive update that began rolling out over the weekend. It introduces new tools for creating notification tones from any sound, new options for temporarily muting notifications, a new auto-delete menu, more animated emoji, new animations, and a lot more.

With the latest update, Telegram users can create custom notification alerts from any sounds, memes included. In parallel, users now have more options for muting notifications for a specific duration.

Auto-Delete can now be enabled in any chat, and a new menu has been added in Profiles. More animated food emojis were also added, along with new animations, and Android smartphone users can enjoy better Picture-in-Picture functionality.

Bots bring the power of web apps to Telegram chats

Telegram bots are getting a lot smarter and with the latest update. Bot developers can create more flexible interfaces with JavaScript, essentially removing the need for websites.

Telegram has launched a fictional fast-food bot to demonstrate the power of these improved bot developer tools. You can pretend-order at Durger King through the Telegram app to test these new features and more.
