Choosing the right Galaxy phone can be a challenge for buyers unfamiliar with the Korean brand's portfolio. And if you're an Oppo user looking to join the Samsung club, you should probably be aware of the following.
Oppo often applies unique graphic designs to the back of its phones. You likely know this as an Oppo user. Samsung does that too, but only for specific models that fall into the low-end segment.
Oppo's graphic designs span different price ranges and are sometimes used for pricier models. Examples include the Oppo Find X8 Pro and even the foldable Oppo Find N3 Flip.
Conversely, Samsung only uses those types of graphic designs, such as gradients, stripes, and ripple effects, for budget phones. Samsung avoids those design cues in the mid-range and premium segments.

The reason you should know this as an Oppo user is that you may want to avoid buying your first Samsung phone based on the graphic designs you might be familiar with from Oppo phones.
In other words, unless you want to buy one of Samsung's cheapest devices, you should avoid these designs. While they are prevalent across the Oppo lineup, in the world of Samsung, these designs are usually a telltale sign that you're looking at a cheap phone.

Lastly, if you plan on using a protective case with your new Samsung phone, check out the company's FlipSuit series of cases. They're not only colorful and unique but also have an NFC element that changes your phone's lock screen wallpaper and other UI elements to match the case.
