While it has been leaked multiple times that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature faster charging, the other two phones in the lineup were reportedly not getting any charging upgrades. However, a surprising new leak claims that Samsung will finally upgrade the charging speed of its base Galaxy S phone this year, the Galaxy S26.
Tipster Ahmed Qwaider claims that the base Galaxy S26 features 45W fast charging. If this is true, the phone could get a decent upgrade in terms of fast charging. It has been leaked earlier that the phone will also feature a 4,300mAh battery, an upgrade from the Galaxy S25's 4,000mAh battery.
Even with 25W charging, the base Galaxy S25 was capable of filling up more than 55% of its battery in 30 minutes. So, if the Galaxy S26 really has 45W fast charging, it could be capable of filling up the battery up to 70% in 30 minutes.
The Galaxy S26+ is said to feature 45W charging, similar to the Galaxy S25+. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will have 60W fast charging, which is higher than what its predecessor is capable of.
Previous reports have claimed that all three upcoming high-end phones—Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra—reportedly feature Qi2.2 charging with built-in alignment magnets. The Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26+ are said to feature 20W fast wireless charging, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to be compatible with 25W fast wireless charging.
The tipster also reaffirms that the Galaxy S26 and the Galaxy S26+ will use the Exynos 2600 (2nm) chip in most markets globally, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra uses the 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor worldwide.
