Samsung TV Plus, the company's free, ad-supported TV streaming service, continues to expand its library of great content. The latest addition comes from the world's leading music streaming service, which has now launched its first TV channel.
Spotify today announced the launch of its first-ever free, ad-supported TV channel, The Ringer from Spotify. It has been launched as a Samsung TV Plus exclusive.
This channel isn't about music streaming, though, it's about podcasts. Spotify has launched this channel to showcase some of its most prominent video podcasts through Samsung's TV streaming service.
The channel gets its name from The Ringer which was founded by Bill Simmons. It's one of the most popular podcast collections on Spotify with a unique blend of expertise and cultural relevance across more than 50 shows. The Ringer from Spotify will feature curated episodes from those shows, enabling fans on enjoy the best of those video podcasts through Samsung TV Plus.
Viewers can expect content from podcasts like The Rewatchables, which covers timeless movies, The Recipe Club, which features prominent guests and chefs exploring gastronomy, to The Ringer-Verse, which features deep dives into cult classics like Star Wars.
The Ringer from Spotify is available subscription-free on Samsung TV Plus. The TV streaming service is available on Samsung's mobile devices, TVs, smart monitors, and Family Hub devices.
