Whether it will happen closer to the beginning of 2026 or near the end of the first quarter, everyone expects Samsung to release the Galaxy S26 series next year. The lineup, at least initially, will consist of the Galaxy S26 base model, the Galaxy S26+, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. No surprises there.
But even though the Galaxy S26 Edge's future remains uncertain, alleged official dimensions for the upcoming flagship trio have now emerged on X, hinting at thinner profiles for at least two of the three models.
These measurements are reportedly based on official data rather than CAD renders and case specifications. So, here they are, and here's how they compare to the measurements for the ongoing Galaxy S25 series.
These figures suggest that the base Galaxy S26 will have a larger screen and be thinner than its predecessor, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be thinner but have a slightly larger footprint while maintaining its 6.9-inch display diagonal.
As for the Galaxy S26+, it's the odd one. Its dimensions are seemingly identical to the S25+, which is a little bit surprising.
These measurements don't include any details about the thickness of the camera housing and/or rings. And if the S26+ has rings on top of a camera plateau, it might be thicker than its predecessor when you count the camera assembly.
Author's Note: Given previous rumors about the Galaxy S Plus cancellation, it appears Samsung may have reconsidered the model. While unconfirmed, it seems possible the company repackaged the 2026 model in a body identical to the 2025 Plus to meet the launch deadline.
