One UI 8.5 beta has already been out for some time now, and you can experience the stable version on the Galaxy S26 series as well, but Samsung had kept Galaxy Z Fold 7 owners waiting for a taste.

The wait ended last week when the One UI 8.5 beta was finally expanded to the Galaxy Z Fold 7. Our colleagues over at SamMobile TV have put together a detailed video of One UI 8.5 on Samsung's top foldable phone.

There are no big surprises here. The One UI 8.5 experience is much the same on this device as it is on other devices like the Galaxy S26 series, but that's to be expected. It does underwhelm in some respects, though.

For example, the Quick Panel on the Fold isn't as good as it could have been, particularly with taking advantage of the foldable display. It does have the infinitely customizable nature that we've already seen with One UI 8.5 on other devices.

Samsung has made updates to several native apps as well. The Samsung Internet browser has a new design with floating menu bars and other visual tweaks. Improvements have also been made to apps like My Files, in addition to tweaks being made to various app icons.
