Samsung been a prominent sponsor of the Olympics for many years now. It has kept up that support for the ongoing Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
The company's devices have featured prominently during the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics, bringing new perspectives to the coverage.
Samsung teamed up with the Olympic Broadcasting Services to utilize 26 Galaxy S25 Ultra devices across the Milano San Siro Olympic Stadium in Italy where more than 75,000 spectators and 3,500 athletes were present for the ceremony.
These devices were positioned everywhere from the spectator stands to the athlete entrance tunnels, enabling the broadcasting service to capture new perspectives and views alongside the conventional equipment.
Samsung also has a history of making Olympic Edition iterations of its popular devices where are handed out as souvenirs to athletes. It was no different this time around. Athletes were handed the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Olympic Edition devices which many of them put to good use to capture visuals of the iconic Parade of Nations.
More than 3,800 Olympians and Paralympians from 90 countries received this special edition device. It only has some cosmetic changes that commemorate the event, otherwise, it's the same Galaxy Z Flip 7 we all know and love.
The rings on the rear cameras are painted in a gold color, the color is a deep shade of blue with Samsung and Olympic branding. The company has also created a special Olympic Winter Games-themed wallpaper specifically for the 2026 Winter Games.
