Samsung's cheapest Galaxy Book 5 model goes on sale in India

Samsung launched the Galaxy Book 5 series earlier this year and three models were initially launched in India – the Galaxy Book 5 360, Galaxy Book 5 Pro, and Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360. Pricing started at INR 114,990 or $1,300 for the entry-level model.

The company is now making its cheapest Galaxy Book 5 model available in the country, which brings down the starting price significantly, thereby expanding the AI-computing experience to a wider consumer base.

The new Galaxy Book 5 model starts at INR 77,990 or $890, a major reduction, while providing access to top-tier hardware and enhanced software functionality.

The laptop features a 15.6-inch full HD display with an anti-glare coating. It has a 61.2Wh battery that can last for up to 19 hours of video playback. Samsung is offering four variants of the laptop in India.

It can be configured with Intel Core Ultra 5 and Core Ultra 7 processors, which provide a significant performance boost over the previous model. This includes a 38% improvement in graphics performance and a 12 TOPS NPU that powers many of the AI features like Circle to Search, Copilot, AI Photo Remaster, Transcript Assist, and more.

The Galaxy Book 5 is now available for purchase in India from Samsung's online store, its retail stores, as well as through select authorized retail stores. Other online portals will sell the laptop as well. It's only available in a Grey colorway.
