Samsung's AI healthcare platform launch still slated for this year

Samsung has talked about the new AI healthcare platform it's working on multiple times, but the company is yet to provide a concrete release date, though it did mention that the platform could be out before the end of this year.

A new report out of South Korea suggests that the timeline is still very much on track, and there's a good chance that we may see this new platform being launched before the end of 2025.

The report claims that Samsung will launch its AI Healthcare Coach in the United States before the end of this year, adding that it will help patients with medical diagnosis. It won't be a separate app, rather, it would exist as a chatbot inside the regular Samsung Health app.

Samsung Health is currently used by 70 million people globally. It fuses together data from various Samsung wearable devices and provides AI-backed insights for health and fitness tracking. This new feature would kick things up a notch by bringing in data from multiple devices and platforms, including clinical information systems, for a more holistic view.

Users will then be able to share this data with their doctor for context-aware and evidence-based care. This platform's AI will provide users with personalized tips, medication reminders, and motivations to help them stay on top of their health.

Samsung hasn't revealed more information about this AI Healthcare Coach beyond what little it has talked about so far, so hopefully it's a bit more forthcoming with the details in the coming weeks.
