Samsung unveiled the world's first micro RGB TV back in August this year. The company launched a 115-inch model at a staggering price tag of $32,000.
It's now set to launch more affordable models in different sizes at the Consumer Electronics Show 2026 in Las Vegas that kicks off on January 6 as it sets about commercializing this ultra premium category.
Samsung is aiming for dominance in the ultra premium segment with its micro RGB TVs. They utilize a proprietary technology that has micro-sized LEDs below an LCD layer for very precise backlight control.
A new report out of South Korea claims that Samsung will expand the lineup with more sizes at CES 2026. It will unveil 65, 75, and 85, and 98-inch models of its micro RGB TVs which will understandably be priced less than the 115-inch model that's already available for $32,000.
The actual prices of these new models aren't available at this time. However, the report mentions that Samsung has developed an internal strategy to reduce the price gap between micro RGB TVs and its top of the line Neo QLED TVs.
The idea is to commercialize this technology and further strengthen the company's premium TVs offerings, and not just show off the capabilities of Samsung's proprietary technology through very expensive models that many customers can't afford.
Yong Seok-woo, the president of Samsung's Video Display division, had previously said that the company will launch various models of the micro RGB TV in 2026 at prices that will be attainable for customers.
