Samsung to showcase XR headset at MWC tomorrow

Samsung's Project Moohan XR headset to be showcased at MWC 2025

After announcing the Galaxy A26, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A56, Samsung has revealed that it will showcase its first Android XR headset, Project Moohan, tomorrow at MWC 2025 in Barcelona, Spain.

We know that Project Moohan is the first device to run Android XR, a version of Android built for XR devices like headsets and glasses. It features an advanced version of Gemini, a multimodal AI assistant.

Some Google apps, including Google Maps and YouTube, are optimized to fill up the whole screen.

The headset has couple of OLED-based micro displays with a high refresh rate, the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 processor, two eye-tracing cameras, and at least eight front-facing cameras.

It can be controlled using a combination of eye, hand, and finger gestures. However, reports claim it can also be controlled using dedicated motion controllers.

It adjusts the lenses automatically once the user wears the headset. It is powered by an external battery pack connected via a USB Type-C port on one end and a proprietary port on the other.

Visitors to MWC can explore Project Moohan and other AI features introduced by Samsung at the company's Galaxy Experience Booth in Fira Gran Via Hall 3 in Barcelona, Spain.
