Samsung Wallet's new feature already has over a million users

Samsung Wallet is one of the most popular ways to pay for things in South Korea, thanks to Samsung's popularity in the country. Last year, the company launched a new Samsung Wallet feature called Samsung Wallet Money Points, and it already has over a million users in Korea.

Samsung Wallet Money is a service that allows users to link their bank account directly to Samsung Wallet, allowing them to pay for things without the need for a debit card. Samsung Wallet Points is a rewards feature that accumulates certain points to a user's Samsung Wallet account every time they make a purchase or recharge their cards. Samsung combined those features to create Samsung Wallet Money Points, which rewards users every time they make a payment. Those points can then be redeemed, just like cash.

This new feature was launched in South Korea in October 2024 and now has over a million users. The service has become popular, as it allows users to do everything (making purchases, recharging cards, accumulating reward points, and using reward points for buying things) using the same app.

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of Samsung Wallet Money Points, Samsung is running a promotion where users can get 10% of the payment amount as Samsung Wallet Points. When users make three purchases using Samsung Wallet Money, they will get up to 1,000 points, while making five payments will get them 2,000 points. Users can also play roulette games for additional points and get instant prize rewards.
