Many of Samsung's first-party apps will be getting updates in the near future to add official support for Android 14 and One UI 6.0, the next major OS upgrade that will be released later this year for lots of Galaxy devices. And we're assuming One 6.0 support is being added to Samsung's Voice Recorder app this week.
Voice Recorder has received a new update today, but unfortunately, Samsung hasn't attached any changelog so we can't say what's new or what's changed. From what we see after going through the app after the update, it's exactly the same as it was before.
But, again, it's highly likely that the update adds official support for Android 14 and One UI 6.0, especially since it only seems to be available on a Galaxy S23 running the One UI 6.0 at the moment.
A few other Samsung apps have received One UI 6.0 support recently, and in some cases, the updates for those apps also brought along the new features those apps are supposed to get with the new version of the operating system. This is all preparation for the first stable release of the One UI 6.0 update, which is expected to happen soon, at least for the Galaxy S23 lineup.
The latest Voice Recorder app — version 188.8.131.52 — can be downloaded from the Galaxy Store. You can tap this link to directly go to the Voice Recorder page on the Galaxy Store, or you can open the Galaxy Store and navigate to its Updates menu to grab the update. If there's no update available, be sure to try again later, or download the APK file for the app from APK Mirror, transfer it to your phone, and install it manually.
