Samsung appears to be preparing to release the stable version of One UI 8.5 for eligible devices. As with every new One UI update, the company also refreshes supporting apps and system components to support new feeatures. One such One UI component is Group Sharing, which has just received a new update.
The latest version of Group Sharing, version 13.8.51.5, is currently available for the Galaxy S25 series in South Korea and can be downloaded from the Galaxy Store as a 19.98MB update. Although the changelog mentions features like the ability to invite users via a link and support for family album sharing and child accounts, this is an old changelog from a couple of years ago. The update is likely to make things working smoothly on One UI 8.5 devices.
At the moment, this update does not appear to be available for devices running One UI 8.0. Samsung could release the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25 series later this month or next month. Other eligible devices are expected to receive the update over the following months.
The previous update to the Group Sharing component was released through the Galaxy Store in November 2025.
