Galaxy M56 users, there is some good news for you today. The South Korean tech giant has released the One UI 8.0 (Android 16) update for your device (via Samsung Community). Currently, it is offering the new update in India, and it comes with a download size of 1,957.23 MB and bearing firmware version M566BXXU3BYI6.
We expect Samsung to release the update in other regions in the next few days. Even though the company has released the update in October, it has only the September 2025 security patch with it. That means the phone will get another update, upgrading the security with the October 2025 security patch.
To update your Galaxy M56 to One UI 8.0, navigate to Settings > Software update > Download and install. One UI 8 brings a new user interface and many new features, which you can check here or in our video below:
On a related note, Samsung's upcoming One UI 8.5 is shaping up to be an exciting update, bringing subtle changes that make a huge impact. You can check if your device is compatible for the update or not by clicking here.
