Samsung is rolling out a software update for the Galaxy A36 units in its home country, South Korea. It offers the March 2026 security patch, which fixes 65 security issues. The update carries firmware version A366NKSS5BZC3.
Usually, after releasing a software update for a phone in Korea, Samsung starts rolling it out in other regions around the world in the next few days. We expect that to be the case with the latest Galaxy A36 update as well. To check if Samsung has made it available in your region, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
A few months ago, Samsung unveiled a new version of Android customisation for Galaxy smartphones, One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). It brings a new user interface as well as many new features. The Galaxy A36 is eligible to get it. The brand is expected to start rolling it out to eligible smartphones in the next few weeks.
