Samsung TV Plus update brings a newer design for easier content discovery

The Samsung TV Plus is now available in 24 countries on 535 million devices. Launched in 2015, it now has over 300 channels in the US and over 2,400 channels globally. With version 5.2, it is getting improved content discovery, so users can discover more content that they like in an easier and faster way. This new update will be available on Samsung's smart TVs released in 2019 (or later) and will be released to older TVs and Galaxy smartphones and tablets in early 2024.

Samsung TV Plus gets a new Best of Kids section

A dedicated Best of Kids section has over 20 family-safe channels, kids shows, and on-demand movies appropriate for kids, including Baby Einstein, Barney and Friends, Blippo, Caillou, Kidoodle.TV, LEGO Channel, Moonbug, PBS Kids, Ryan and Friends, Slugterra, Strawberry Shortcake, Teletubbies, and The Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3

Over 200 music playlists and over 40 music channels are now available on Samsung TV Plus

The new version of Samsung TV Plus also brings a dedicated music section that offers over 200 playlists and more than 40 music channels, including the ones from Stingray, Vevo, and XITE. On-demand music playlists will offer a variety of genres, including decade-based playlists, hip-hop playlists, pop playlists, and more. Artist-centered playlists are also present, including the ones for Arianna Grande, Beyonce, The Rolling Stones, and The Weekend.

More movie channels are available on Samsung TV Plus' Movie Hub

Samsung has also expanded the Movie Hub and now offers more movie channels of its own, including new ones like Movie Hub Action, Movie Hub Holidays, and Movie Hub West. They will offer thousands of live and on-demand movies, including Collateral, Cruel Intentions, Gladiator, Imitation Game, Silver Linings Playbook, The Hurt Locker, and Titanic.

Samsung TV Plus also has the world's leading new channels, including ABC, Bloomberg TV+, CBS, Cheddar News, CNN, FOX, NBC, Scripps News, Sky News, USA Today, and Yahoo Finance. Holiday content includes titles like Christmas Angel and Feliz NaviDAD. Holiday channels include Hallmark Movies & More and Holiday Movie Favorites By Lifetime. There is Samsung's Fireplace TV that displays a virtual fireplace that's so crystal clear that it looks real.

More multicultural and multilingual content is now available

The South Korean firm is also adding more multicultural and multilingual content, including ten new Spanish language channels, including the ones from Ebony TV (Lionsgate), TelevisaUnivision, and ViX. These channels include content such as Aren't We There Yet, Kevin Hart: What The Fit, The Great Debaters, and Tyler Perry's I Can Do Bad All By Myself.
