Samsung has announced that it has partnered with KT Studio Genie to bring more Korean content, including dramas, movies, and original titles to Samsung TVs for free. All this content will be launched in countries around the world where Samsung TV Plus is available.
As a part of this agreement, select Genie TV original titles will be streamed on Samsung TVs internationally, expanding their reach globally. The companies are bringing three standout TV series to Samsung TV Plus:
‘New Recruit' and ‘Love Is for Suckers' will be streamed as an exclusive FAST channel on Samsung TV Plus for three months.
In South Korea, Korean dramas are streamed 24×7, giving people a chance to watch the episodes of their favorite TV shows no matter what time they are free at. Whether they want to watch episodes after a long day at work or watch multiple episodes on a weekend, there is something for everyone.
Moreover, Samsung curates a monthly selection of acclaimed Korean content, such as ‘Moon in the Day,' to help users discover something new. Over the past year, Samsung has partnered with famous Korean content production companies, including CJ ENM and NEW ID, to bring more Korean content to Samsung TV users worldwide.
Yong Su Kim, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronicsm, said, “Our partnership with KT Studio Genie reflects Samsung TV Plus’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional content and new viewing formats to global audiences. We’re proud to help bring the richness of Korean storytelling to more viewers worldwide — free, easy to access and ready to stream.“
