In December 2025, Samsung released the latest version of One UI for Galaxy smartphones, One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). Currently, the brand is beta testing it on the Galaxy S25 series. The company is expected to debut its stable version with the Galaxy S26 lineup, which it will launch at the Galaxy Unpacked event on 25 February 2026. The tech giant has now started teasing it.

Samsung has shared a video on YouTube. It depicts four apps from the brand for Galaxy smartphones — Messages, Gaming Hub, Wallet, and Camera — as characters that are dancing. The video also says “The new One UI is coming!!” and “Your Galaxy, Your Way.” With this video, the South Korean tech giant is teasing that it will soon release a new version of One UI, which, as we know, will be One UI 8.5.

It also has a link to the video inviting people to the Galaxy Unpacked event on 25 February 2026, where the brand is expected to launch the Galaxy S26 series. It strongly suggests that the company will debut the stable version of One UI 8.5 with its next lineup of non-foldable flagship smartphones.

One UI 8.5 offers a redesigned UI, which looks cleaner and more sophisticated, and is easier to use. It is also more customisable than One UI 8.0, letting you personalise it to a great degree. Lastly, it brings many new features. You can check out all the changes it brings in our video below.
