Last month, Samsung released a new version of One UI for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). Currently, the brand is beta testing it for the Galaxy S25 series. Once the company completes the testing successfully, it will debut the new software with the Galaxy S26 series, and soon after that, start rolling it out to devices eligible to get the update.

To that extent, Samsung is testing One UI 8.5 for many smartphones, including Galaxy S, Galaxy Z, Galaxy A, and Galaxy M series phones. Now, one more device is getting added to that list, the Galaxy M55s.

On Samsung’s server, a firmware for the Galaxy M55s with One UI 8.5 has been spotted. Carrying firmware version M558BXXU2DZA7, it suggests that the brand has started testing the new software for the phone. With that, the Galaxy M55s One UI 8.5 update is one step closer to release.

One UI 8.5’s user interface looks more sophisticated and is easier to use and more customisable compared to that of One UI 8.0. The new software also offers many new features over the older one, providing more convenience. We have made a video showing all the changes and upgrades it offers. You can check it out below.
