Samsung has a habit of launching the same Galaxy phone under different names in various markets. Sometimes it does this even within the same country. And it seems unlikely that Samsung will abandon this approach anytime soon, at least based on the latest discovery.

A new phone with the name Galaxy M17e (model number SM-M076B) has been discovered in Google Play Console's list of Supported Devices. It likely means the device will launch soon, probably later this month. What is surprising is that its codename is listed as A07x, which is the same as the Galaxy A07 5G's codename. So, the Galaxy A07 5G and the Galaxy M17e are essentially the same phone.

Based on previous information, the Galaxy A07 5G features the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, up to 8GB RAM (which is great in today's RAM economy), and Android 16 (One UI 8.0). It will likely get six major Android OS updates and security patches for up to seven years, since the Galaxy A07 4G has the same software support.

The upcoming device has a screen with a U-shaped notch to accommodate the front-facing camera. It has two cameras on the rear. It is powered by a 6,000mAh battery and has 25W fast wired charging. The phone has two rear-facing cameras, but information about them hasn't been revealed yet.
