Samsung releases One UI 8 Watch Beta 5 for Galaxy Watch 7

Samsung has released the fifth beta version of One UI 8 Watch for the Galaxy Watch 7. Here are the upgrades it offers.

In June, Samsung opened the Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch Beta Program for the Galaxy Watch 7. After releasing three more beta versions, the brand is now rolling out the fifth beta version of the new software to the smartwatch.

Samsung has released One UI 8 Watch Beta 5 for the Galaxy Watch 7. From what we could gather, currently, it is available only in Korea. The update carries firmware version ZYI4, as you can see in the screenshot below (via Tarun Vats).

According to the change log, the update fixes six bugs. Below is the official change log (translated from Korean to English).

  • Improved the issue where exercise would end when a medication reminder was triggered while running
  • Improved the issue where health tiles were displayed as blank
  • Improved stuttering issues while using the watch
  • Improved the issue where raising the wrist to turn on (or Always On Display) would be forced to disable when exiting sleep mode
  • Improved the issue where the current time did not match when the screen was turned on during Always On Display operation
  • Improved issue of timer app not running

To update your Galaxy Watch 7 to the latest One UI 8 Watch beta, on your smartphone, open the Galaxy Wearable app and go to Watch settings » Watch software update » Download and install.
