Samsung is rolling out new software updates to the Galaxy Watch Ultra and the Galaxy Watch 7. They bring the March 2025 security patch, which fixes 58 security issues, making these wearables more secure than before, and improves their stability.

At the moment, Samsung is rolling out the updates in its home country, South Korea. The update for the Galaxy Watch Ultra carries firmware version L705NKOU1AYCD, and that for the Galaxy Watch 7 carries firmware version L305NKOU1AYCD.

The updates for both wearables have a size of around 900MB, which is quite large for just offering a new security patch. Hopefully, it offers more than what the changelog says. Anyway, we expect Samsung to offer it in other regions soon.

To get the latest updates, on your Galaxy Watch Ultra or Galaxy Watch 7, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Before you install the update, charge your smartwatch’s battery to the full to avoid any interruptions.
