Samsung promised to start rolling out the stable One UI 8.0 update this month, and it seems the company is preparing for its release. Today, it released a series of updates in the Galaxy Store that hint at the imminent rollout of the stable One UI 8.0 update.
Samsung has released updates to dozens of on-device language resource packs for Galaxy smartphones and tablets. These updates, available via the Galaxy Store, are used in language translation and transcription tasks, such as the ones powered by Galaxy AI. These updates are generally released before a major software update, and this time, it is likely for preparing the phones for the upcoming One UI 8.0 stable update.
Below, you can see the screenshots of all the language resource pack updates released today.
You can download these updates by heading over to Galaxy Store » Menu » Updates on your compatible Galaxy Store and then tapping the Update all button.
We think Samsung could release the Android 15-based stable One UI 8.0 update in the next couple of weeks, maybe even earlier. The update isn't as major as One UI 7.0 was, but it still brings some much-needed improvements to Samsung DeX and Secure Folder. It also brings redesigned Quick Share, Samsung Internet, and Weather apps.
You can check out all the major changes and improvements that One UI 8.0 brings in our in-depth video below.
The Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be among the first devices to get the update. Then, the update could be released to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S25 series, and other Galaxy Z series phones. High-end tablets could also get the update before the end of this month.
Mid-range and entry-level Galaxy phones and tablets could get the stable One UI 8.0 update before the end of this year.
