Samsung phones get three Google Play System updates in four days

From August 2025 to February 2026, Samsung smartphones didn’t get a single Google Play System update. Last week, after seven months, Galaxy phones finally started getting a new version of Google Play System, which was dated January 1, 2026.

To everyone’s surprise, the next day, another update arrived. After installing it, for some users, the Google Play System reverted to November 1, 2025. As it turns out, on Saturday, these phones got a new Google Play System update, the third update in four days.

The latest Google Play System update is 149KB in size (via CID). From what we could gather, after installing it, for some users, the Google Play System update is dated November 1, 2025, the same as before, and for others, it shows January 1, 2026.
