The company's improved ‘Galaxy Trade-In' program allows people to sell their existing or used Galaxy phones directly via Samsung's website. They don't need to buy a new phone while trading in their old device. This is the difference between the company's new and old trade-in programs.
Samsung says it started this program to boost the value of Galaxy devices for users in the long term. It claims its new trade-in program will be simple and secure. The South Korean firm has partnered with Likewize to operate this program.
While Samsung didn't reveal the eligible devices for its trade-in program in France, its press release for the South Korean market listed eligible phones. They are listed below:
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra on January 22. This trade-in program comes just a couple of weeks before the launch of the Galaxy S25 series.
Jun Kim, EVP and Head of the Galaxy Value Innovation team at Samsung MX, said, “We’re excited to launch our brand-new year-round Galaxy Trade-In Program in an effort to enrich the value of Galaxy devices for users and contribute to a circular economy. We believe customers can greatly benefit from the value of their devices in the market and the ability to trade in safely with the support of secure transactions.“
