Samsung's mobile payments service has been integrated with mada, the country's national payment system, making it possible for Galaxy device owners in Saudi Arabia to make payments on the go effortlessly.
The launch of Samsung Pay was confirmed by the Saudi Central Bank, providing residents with a safe and convenient method of making payments in addition to the conventional cash and other digital payment methods.
The country's central bank has been undertaking several initiatives to improve the digital payments ecosystem in Saudi Arabia as part of the Vision 2030 project, which is aimed at diversifying the economy and promoting financial inclusion through technology.
With Samsung Pay, residents will be able to store and manage their mada cards, credit cards, and other payment methods on their device using the Samsung Wallet app. They can then use their Galaxy devices to make contactless payments in physical stores as well as make online and in-app purchases.
The safety and security of users' payment information is guaranteed by the advanced security methods that Samsung employed, such as tokenization, biometrics, and Samsung Knox encryption. This should provide users with the peace of mind they need to make mobile payments using Samsung Pay.
