Samsung signs agreement to expand SmartThings Pro to more buildings

Samsung Electronics has announced that it has signed a business agreement with the Overseas Construction Association to help South Korean construction firms expand globally. The company will do that by helping them automate their buildings using SmartThings Pro.

To establish a strategic partnership with local construction firms, the company signed the business agreement with Overseas Construction Association in Jung-gu, Seoul. This event was attended by Hong Beom-seok, the vice president of Samsung Electronics B2B Integrated Offering Center, and Han Man-hee, the chairman of South Korea's Overseas Construction Association.

Samsung plans to help South Korean construction firms expand and improve their services to 160 countries worldwide. SmartThings Pro will be integrated with the Overseas Construction Association's Convergence K-City Platform. This new system will help firms automate their buildings and offer energy conservation.

SmartThings Pro will help them manage several devices and appliances, including air conditioning, lighting, security cameras, and signage displays, in commercial, office, and residential buildings. By offering these improvements, South Korean construction firms can win more clients and orders globally.

Hong Beom-seok, the vice president of Samsung Electronics' B2B division, said, “This agreement is not a simple business agreement, but will be an important turning point for domestic companies’ overseas expansion. We will actively pursue not only the development of overseas markets for domestic companies, but also the expansion of Samsung Electronics’ global B2B business, including its AI solutions.”
