Samsung partnered with Nexon Korea and Neople to optimize The First Berserker: Khazan game for the Odyssey 3D gaming monitor. The graphics elements, including the composition of characters, backgrounds, and cinematics of the game, are specifically optimized for the new monitor using Samsung's new technology.
These three companies are working closely to make sure the game delivers the best visuals. The First Berserker: Khazan is a roleplaying game (RPG) set in Nexon's leading game franchise, Dungeon & Fighting Universe. It will be released globally on March 28
Yongjae Kim, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said, “The partnership between Samsung and Nexon will provide an unmatched gaming experience with ‘The First Berserker: Khazan’ on the Odyssey 3D monitor. We’ll continue to expand partnerships with premium gaming companies across the globe to deliver 3D gaming technology that provides the highest level of gaming immersion.”
The Odyssey 3D is a 27-inch gaming monitor with 4K resolution. It has a Neo QLED (Mini LED) screen with a 165Hz variable refresh rate. It is compatible with both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync. It has plenty of ports and a stand with pivot and tilt adjustments.
It has two cameras that track your eyes and then adjust the frames in a way that they experience three-dimensional visuals. It works without the need to wear any glasses. It can convert 2D content into 3D, but the content optimized for 3D visuals would offer a more satisfying performance.
Samsung says that the Odyssey 3D gaming monitor will be launched in April 2025 in at least some countries. Its pricing hasn't been revealed yet.
Samsung showcased several other futuristic display technologies, including transparent Micro LED displays. You can watch them in our video below.
