On January 2nd, Samsung announced its first 37-inch ViewFinity S8 monitor to set a new benchmark for the office display market. It's been months since the official announcement, and now, the 37-inch ViewFinity S8 is finally going on sale in select markets, including Europe.
The 37-inch (92.7-centimeter) ViewFinity S8 (S80UD) joins the existing 32 and 43-inch options, and Samsung calls it “the world's first 37-inch monitor” with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a 4K resolution.
Because it is larger than the 32-inch model and retains the 4K resolution, the ViewFinity S8 offers better visibility and readability with larger text without compromising screen quality.
The large screen area also promotes multitasking. Multiple device connections are facilitated by a KVM (keyboard, video, and mouse) switch that allows users to control two devices with a single set of peripherals.
Two additional features, picture-by-picture (PBP) and picture-in-picture (PIP), enhance and streamline the ViewFinity S8 multitasking experience even further.
Despite the large 37-inch display, the ViewFinity S8 comes with a clever “Easy Setup Stand” that doesn't require any tools to be assembled and installed in record time.
Samsung even published a short video demonstrating how anyone can assemble the Easy Setup Stand in roughly 10 seconds. Here's how it works.
The stand is also clever enough to offer height, tilt, and swivel adjustability.
As far as other specs go, these include:
In markets like Germany and other European countries, the 37-inch ViewFinity S8 is now available for €579, but you may already be able to find the monitor at a promotional launch discount.
