Samsung debuted its latest version of Android customisation for Galaxy smartphones, One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2), by releasing its beta version for the Galaxy S25 series back in December 2025. Since then, the brand has opened the new software's beta program for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip 7. Now, it looks like the company may expand it to the Galaxy S24 series as well.
On Samsung’s server, a beta firmware for the Galaxy S24 series featuring One UI 8.5 has been spotted (via Tarun Vats). It suggests that the brand may open the One UI 8.5 beta program for the Galaxy S24 lineup as well, and that it may happen very soon.
Samsung already debuted the stable version of One UI 8.5 with the Galaxy S26 series. With that, the brand was expected to start rolling out the stable version of the new software to older devices very soon, and the evidence for that popped up quickly, as we spotted the stable build of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 series.
