Samsung has launched a new F-series phone in India, the Galaxy F16 5G. It is a rebranded variant of the Galaxy M16 5G made specifically for one of the e-commerce platforms in the country, Flipkart. Let’s take a look at its features, variants, prices, and availability details.
The Galaxy F16 5G starts at INR 11,499. However, Samsung hasn’t said how much RAM and storage you get for that price. In other words, the brand hasn’t revealed memory configurations. The company, however, says that you can get it with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
Samsung will make the Galaxy F16 5G available to purchase tomorrow (13 March 2025) at 12:00 PM IST exclusively from Flipkart. You can get it in three colors, Vibing Blue, Glam Green, Bling Black. Hopefully, that’s when we will get details about memory options.
The Galaxy F16 5G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution. While Samsung hasn’t revealed the refresh rate of the screen, considering that it is based on the Galaxy M16 5G, we assume that it is 90Hz.
The phone uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. While Samsung didn’t say which version of Android and One UI it is shipping the device with, the company has announced that it will offer six OS upgrades and six years of security updates to the device, the best in the class.
The phone has three cameras on the rear. A 50MP primary camera with wide lens, a 5MP camera with ultra wide lens, and a 2MP camera with macro lens. At the front, there’s a tried and tested 13MP camera for selfies.
The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and it supports charging at up to 25W. Samsung says that the phone is 7.9mm slim. As the name suggests, the phone has 5G connectivity. Samsung should reveal more details about the device tomorrow.\
