Samsung launches Galaxy A07, its cheapest phone for 2025

Samsung has launched the Galaxy A07, the brand’s most affordable smartphone for 2025 yet. It comes as a successor to the Galaxy A06, which was launched last year, and up until now, it was the brand’s latest and cheapest phone.  

For now, the South Korean tech giant is offering the Galaxy A07 only in Indonesia, with a starting price of just IDR 1,399,000 (approximately USD 86). For that price, the phone offers a decent set of specifications. Let’s take a look.

The Galaxy A07 features a 6.7-inch LCD with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It has the MediaTek Dimensity Helio G99 SoC, and is available in four memory and storage configurations: 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. There’s also a microSD card slot onboard. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with 25W Super Fast charging

It has a dual-camera setup at the rear, comprising of a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP macro camera. There’s a single, 8MP camera at the front. Note that the phone has only up to 4G (LTE) connectivity. There’s no support for 5G connectivity. Samsung is shipping the phone with Android 15-based One UI 7.0 and will offer six OS upgrades and six years of security updates to the device, the best in the segment.

The Galaxy A07 measures 164.4 X 77.4 X 7.6 mm and weighs 184 grams. It features IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. According to Samsung, the phone’s “rear body is clad in Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP), providing a stronger and lighter protective layer.” You can get it in three colors: Black, Green, and Light Violet

As mentioned earlier, the Galaxy A07 starts at IDR 1,399,000 (approximately $86). As you might have figured, for that price, you get 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant costs IDR 1,649,000 (approximately $101), the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model costs IDR 1,949,000 (approximately $120), and the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage version costs IDR 2,299,000 (approximately $141).
