One UI 7 Watch beta update might be only a few months away.

Samsung is hard at work trying to bring the One UI 7 experience to dozens of Galaxy phones and tablets. The rollout has been slow so far and will continue to trickle down to more devices in the coming months. As this happens, the company also appears to be working on another next-gen upgrade for a different device category: smartwatches.
New evidence (via @Alfaturk16) shows that Samsung is now developing the next OS upgrade for smartwatches. A beta version of One UI 7 Watch for the Galaxy Watch 7 has appeared on Samsung's servers. Firmware version L310XXU1ZYDA identifies it.
At present, not much is known about the next-gen smartwatch update, but we can assume that One UI 7 Watch is based on Google's upcoming Wear OS 6 update, which should roll out later this year.
One of the features that might be a part of Wear OS 6 is a new Raise To Talk function. Through this upcoming One UI 7 Watch update, Gemini is likely to arrive on Galaxy Watches and other smartwatches running Google's wearable OS.
It's not far-fetched to suspect that One UI 7 Watch will borrow similar design principles as the One UI 7 update for smartphones and tablets. As such, we may see better animations and redesigned UI elements.
Although there is no timeline for when Samsung might bring the One UI 7 Watch beta update to Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra users, it is worth noting that the One UI 6 Watch beta program debuted in Korea and the USA in June 2024.
Assuming that Samsung will follow a similar launch schedule, the One UI 7 Watch beta could be only a couple of months away. However, given how uncertain the One UI 7 rollout for smartphones has been, there is no guarantee.
Either way, if history is any indication, we suspect the beta program for One UI 7 Watch will be more constrained and available in fewer markets, i.e., the USA and Korea only. Time will tell, and we will keep you posted as soon as we find out more.
