Samsung USA has started teasing the launch of its 2024 home appliances lineup on X (formerly Twitter). The teaser image appears to consist of the Jet Bot AI Combo, 2024 Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator With AI Family Hub+, and the Bespoke AI Washer And Dryer Combo. All these appliances will be launched in the US in two days.
The Jet Bot AI Combo has intelligent floor sensing capabilities, so it can adjust its cleaning methods based on the flooring it detects. It also features upgraded AI Object Recognition and steam cleaning functionality.
The 2024 Bespoke 4-Door Flex Refrigerator With AI Family Hub+ is Samsung's flagship refrigerator, featuring a 32-inch touchscreen and a built-in camera. The AI Vision Inside feature lets you peek inside the refrigerator without opening its door. It keeps track of things inside the refrigerator, displays expiry dates, and even notifies you of things you need to order. You can get recipe suggestions and meal plans through Samsung Food integration. You can order groceries straight from the touchscreen. You can play music, stick virtual notes, and play videos on the giant screen.
The Bespoke AI Washer And Dryer Combo has a touchscreen display on which washing programs can be viewed. When you receive a call on your phone, it is mirrored on the washer and dryer's screen. Its AI OptiWash and AI Optimal Dry features use sensors (to detect fabric softness and weight) for effective laundry performance. It features AI Energy Mode in SmartThings Energy, offering power-saving modes and uses less water.
Samsung also displayed the Ballie AI robot assistant at CES 2024. It can help with various home chores including, keeping a security watch inside the home, controlling smart devices, fetching information from the internet, reminding you of your calendar appointments, playing music, and projecting videos on the wall. You can watch it in action in our hands-on video below. It isn't clear if Samsung will start selling it this year.
