Since the demand for GenAI started rising, the demand for memory has also been increasing, resulting in memory prices skyrocketing. With that, the manufacturing cost of devices using significant amounts of memory is going up, and brands are being forced to increase the prices of their products. Well, Samsung has now hinted that it may be forced to increase the prices of its products.
Samsung’s President and Head of Global Marketing Office, Wonjin Lee, in an interview with Bloomberg, said, “Prices are going up even as we speak. Obviously, we don't want to convey that burden to the consumers, but we're going to be at a point where we have to actually consider repricing our products (via Engadget).”
In other words, the official says that due to rising memory prices, Samsung will have to increase the prices of its products, even if it doesn’t want to burden the consumers. This is exactly why we have been advising people who are planning to get Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and laptops to make the purchase rather than later.
Speaking of buying Samsung products, there are some amazing deals going on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy Watch 8, and the S95F OLED TV.
